La XXI Muestra de Arte Contemporáneo de Doña Mencía está organizada por el Ayuntamiento de la localidad con la colaboración de la Fundación Provincial de Artes Plásticas “Rafael Botí”. Se incluye del mismo modo en la red de arte contemporáneo Periféricos.

Serán dos los fines de semana de inauguraciones y en torno a ellos se programarán presentaciones expositivas y actividades paralelas. El primero está previsto para el viernes 25 y sábado 26 de octubre y el segundo para el 29 y 30 de noviembre. Los artistas participantes rescatarán elementos cotidianos, también de la cultura japonesa, rememorarán la década de los 80 e incluso propondrán reflexionar sobre aspectos como el acelerado ritmo de vida actual.

Doña Mencía Council, in collaboration with Rafael Botí Provincial Plastic Arts Foundation, organises the XXIth Contemporary Art Exhibition “DMENCIA 2019” which is included in the project “Periféricos”. The councilman of Culture, Vicente Cantero, has confirmed that there are going to be two inaugurations and parallel events. First of them will inaugurate on the 25th of October and the second one will be on the 29th of November. The artists who participate in theses exhibitions will contribute to the value of everyday items, Japanese Culture, reminiscing the eighties and they even will suggest thinking about aspects as the rapid pace of the current life.
